Representing a few companies in the small town of Alden, Fred E. Aemisegger started a small insurance agency business in 1923. Guy Dean joined Fred in 1945. Guy took ownership when Fred passed away and renamed the business to Guy Dean Insurance in 1961. Local roots mean something to Guy and he showed that in the way he served his customers.

Guy’s son Doug joined the agency in 1967. He and his wife Bonnie purchased the business in 1989. Their daughter Melissa Dean-Charland joined her father in 1999. Missy and business partner Thomas Baker purchased the business in 2009. Thomas moved on to pursue other opportunities.
